THE EXISTENCE OF BULUPITU CITY PARK IN THE DISRUPTION ERA (EKSISTENSI TAMAN KOTA BULUPITU DI ERA DISRUPSI)

Abstract

The development of the economy of the city along with the growth of the building as the city's
facilities and infrastructure. City park is one of the means which must be in a city, for a complex function.
In the disruption era where most activity conducted in virtual worlds is certainly influential to the existence
of the grounds of the city. Technology advances very quickly whether the existence of the grounds of the
city still needed? A city will be convenient with green open space. City park Bulupitu Purwokerto is a green
open space located in the complex of Terminal Bulupitu Purwokerto.
This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection by field observations
and interviews with respondents to the questionnaire enclosed. The number of respondents 140 people
visitors the Park. The sample is chosen randomly (random sampling). Data are processed using
percentage technique  and than analyzed with descriptive technique.  
The results of this research showed that in the disruption era, there is an element of the landscape
should be eliminated because it was not functioning (telephone box), the element that has decreased
function (conventional library). The addition of the landscape elements due to technological advances in
the form of spot photos (umbrellas garden and photo booth). The existence of the city park is important
enough as public activities of leisure (58.6%). Review of the role of ecology, this city park as a breeding
grounds for biological diversity (92.5%). From these results it was concluded that in the disruption era is
the existence of the grounds of the city still needed by society for public activity, play a role in maintaining
the sustainability of nature. Furthermore, in designing city parks must be looking at the trend of  public
behavior.

ABSTRAK
 
Perkembangan perekonomian kota seiring dengan pertumbuhan bangunan sebagai sarana dan
prasarana kota. Taman kota merupakan salah satu sarana yang harus ada di suatu kota, karena fungsinya
yang komplek. Di era disrupsi dimana sebagian  aktivitas dilakukan di dunia maya tentunya berpengaruh
pula terhadap eksistensi taman kota. Kemajuan teknologi yang sangat cepat ini apakah eksistensi taman
kota masih diperlukan? Suatu kota akan nyaman jika memiliki ruang terbuka hijau.  Taman Kota Bulupitu
Purwokerto merupakan ruang terbuka hijau yang berada di komplek Terminal Bulupitu Purwokerto.  
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dengan
melakukak observasi lapangan dan wawancara kepada responden dengan kuesioner tertutup. Jumlah
responden 140 orang pengunjung taman. Sampel dipilih secara acak (random sampling). Data diolah
menggunakan teknik persentase, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teknik diskripsi.  
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di era disrupsi, ada elemen lansekap yang harus dihilangkan
karena sudah tidak berfungsi (bok telepon), elemen yang mengalami penurunan fungsi (gerobak baca).
Penambahan elemen lansekap akibat kemajuan teknologi berupa spot foto (taman payung dan foto booth).
Eksistensi taman cukup penting sebagai wadah aktivitas mengisi waktu luang (58.6%). Ditinjau dari peran
ekologi, taman dapat menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem, sebagai tempat berkembang biak keanekaragaman
hayati (92.5%). Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa di era disrupsi ini eksistensi taman kota masih
diperlukan oleh masyarakat sebagai wadah untuk beraktivitas, berperan dalam menjaga kelestarian alam.
Selanjutnya, dalam merancang taman kota diperlukan kejelian dalam melihat trend perilaku masyarakat.
