Abstract

The city of Semarang is geographically located at coordinates 110 ° 16 '20 "- 110 ° 30 '29" East
Longitude and 6 ° 55 '34 "- 7 ° 07 '04" South Latitude, has rapid progress in the field of development in
all fields, one of them is the construction of a toll road that connects Semarang-Solo with a total length
of 75.7 km.In the Semarang-Solo toll road construction project km 22+300, the landfill is a fairly high
pile that is around 20 meters. The technical characteristic of the landfill largely determines the handling
of the behavior of the heap itself, so it is necessary to analyze the technical characteristic of the landfill.
Laboratory tests were carried out with four (4) water content conditions namely 14.41% , 25.21% ,
35.52% and 50.64%. The water content test, spesific gravity, the consistensy limit produces : w =
50.66%, Gs = 2.60,  LL = 76.57% , PI = 26.73%. Whereas the direct shear test of four water content
conditions resulted in cohesion value 0.21 kg/cm
2, 0.58 kg/cm

Abstrak
Kota Semarang yang secara geografis terletak pada koordinat 110°16’20†- 110°30’29†Bujur Timur dan
6°55’34†- 7°07’04†Lintang Selatan, mempunyai kemajuan yang pesat di bidang pembangunan di segala
bidang,salah satumya adalah pembangunan jalan tol yang menghubungkan antara Semarang-Solo dengan
panjang total 75.7 km. Pada proyek pembangunan jalan tol Semarang-Solo km 22+300, tanah timbunan
merupakan timbunan yang cukup tinggi yaitu berkisar 20 meter. Sifat teknis tanah timbunan sangat
menentukan penanganan terhadap perilaku timbunan itu sendiri, sehingga perlu dilakukan analisis
terhadap sifat teknis dari tanah timbunan tersebut. Uji laboratorium dilakukan dengan empat (4) kondisi
kadar air yaitu 14.41% , 25.21% , 35.52% dan 50.64%. Uji kadar air, gravitas khus , batas konsistensi
menghasilkan : w = 50.66%, Gs =- 2.60, LL = 76.57%, PI = 26.73%. Sedangkan uji geser langsung pada
kondisi empat kadar air berturut-turut menghasilkan nilai nilai kohesi 0,21 kg/cm
2, 0,48kg/cm 2 , dan, 0,29 kg/cm 2, dan  sudut gesek internal tanah 26.45º,  22.36º, 17.76º, dan 15.99º. Sedangkan
