Penggunaan Tepung Cacing Tanah dan Tepung Jagung Fermentasi Terhadap Pertambahan Bobot Badan Ayam Buras Periode Starter

Abstract


Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertambahan bobot badan, konsumsi dan konversi pakan ayam buras periode starter yang diberi pakan tepung cacing tanah dan jagung fermentasi. Materi yang digunakan adalah ayam buras periode starter sebanyak 81 ekor. Metode penelitian yang dipakai Rancangan Acak Lengkap dimana perlakuan disusun secara faktorial (3x3) dengan 3 kali ulangan untuk setiap kombinasi perlakuan. Sebagai faktor pertama adalah level tepung cacing tanah (C) yaitu C1 (5 persen), C2 (15 persen), dan C3 (25 persen). Faktor kedua adalah tepung jagung fermentasi (F) yaitu F1 (10 persen), F2 (20 persen), dan F3 (30 persen), serta interaksi antar kedua macam bahan pakan tersebut. Berdasarkan rancangan tersebut terdapat 27 unit percobaan, dimana setiap unit perlakuan terdiri dari tiga ekor ayam buras periode starter. Peubah yang diamati adalah pertambahan bobot badan, konsumsi dan konversi selama sembilan minggu. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis ragam dan apabila terdapat perbedaan antar perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rataan pertambahan bobot badan ayam buras selama sembilan minggu adalah sebesar 424,10 gram ± 42,34 gram dengan kisaran antara 380 sampai 500 gram. Rataan pertambahan bobot badan pada masing-masing level perlakuan tepung cacing tanah sebesar 432,50 gram; 410,29 gram; 429,54 gram dan pada level perlakuan tepung jagung fermentasi adalah sebesar 417,59 gram,; 417,22 gram; 437,50 gram, serta kombinasi antar kedua bahan pakan yang tertinggi adalah C3F3 yaitu sebesar 503,89 gram. Untuk hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa ransum dengan perbedaan pada level tepung cacing tanah dan tepung jagung fermentasi serta interaksi antar dua macam bahan pakan tersebut berpengaruh tidak nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap pertambahan bobot badan, konsumsi pakan dan konversi pakan ayam buras periode starter.

The objective of the research is to study the body weight gain, consumption and feed conversion of starter period buras chicken which is feed earthworm meal and fermented corn meal. Material used were 81 heads of starter period of buras chicken. Randomizes Complete Design was used as a research method whereas treatment is arranged by factorial way (3x3) with 3 times repeat of every treatment combination. As first factor is the level of earthworm meal (C) such as C1 (5 percent), C2 (15 percent) and C3 (25 percent). As second factor is the level of fermented corn meal (F) wich are F1 (10 percent), F2 (20 percent) and F3 (30 percent), and the interaction of both kinds of feed material. There were 27 units of experiment while every unit of treaqtment consist of three heads of starter period of buras chicken. The variable observed are body weight indrement, consumption and feed consumption during nine weeks. Data gained were analyzed with variation analysis and if it occurs different between the treatments it is continued with Honest Significant Difference (HSD) test. The result shows that the mean of buras chicken body weight gain for nine weeks is 424,10 grams ± 42,34 grams with range between 380 to 500 grams. The mean of body weight increment on each level of earthworm meal treatment are 432,50 grams; 410,29 grams; 429,54 grams, and on the level of fermented sorn meal diet are 417,59 grams,; 417,22 grams; 437,50 grams, while the combination between both feed material shows that the highest respon of body weight gain is C3F3 which is 622,12 grams. The variation analysis indicates that the treatment of different level of earthworm meal and fermented corn meal and also interaction between both kinds of feed materials have non significant (P > 0,05) to body weight gain, feed consumption and feed convertion of starter buras chicken.
